The QuoLux™ Annual Showcase Masterclass: Realising Good Growth
Our annual Alumni Showcase Masterclass took place last week, and this year we launched our CEO, Stewart Barnes', new book with co-author, Steve Kempster: Realising Good Growth - A Practical Guide for Business Leaders.
100 business leaders listened to them being interviewed, before hearing from 7 fellow leaders from Alumni organisations that are featured as case studies in this unique and practical step-by-step guide, a signed copy of which was gifted to every delegate.
Realising Good Growth is a practical guidebook for leaders pursuing collective purpose and a better world, where profit supports the journey rather than defines it. For businesses, this means competitive advantage, top talent, enhanced innovation and stronger returns. But the real prize is enriching lives and enabling humanity to flourish. True success is measured by the future we create for all.
Humanity faces a growth crisis. We're on a runaway train hurtling toward a barren landscape. But there's a different path where businesses of all sizes pursue Good Growth, creating employee engagement, social value and a regenerative economy focused on experience, fulfilment and community, not endless consumption.
Using purpose-led leadership to generate Good Dividends

Purpose-led Leaders
Most teams are held together by tasks, great teams are held together by purpose. The difference? Teams execute; communities belong. Purpose-led leaders don't just manage deliverables, they connect daily work to something people can believe in, operating across three levels: organisational, team and individual purpose. Research shows teams with shared purpose report 43% higher engagement and better retention.
When three leaders faced the same crisis -18% behind target with eight weeks left - their responses revealed everything. Lucy's optimism felt like gaslighting; Marcus's micromanagement drove his best performer to quit; but Priya, equipped with LEAD™ tools and peer support, paused, sought honest input, had difficult conversations early and focused on what mattered. Her team stayed intact and delivered.
There's a leadership myth that refuses to disappear: the idea that great leaders have all the answers and can't admit uncertainty or show doubt. But actually vulnerability-based trust correlates with a 40% improvement in team collaboration, with a striking 70% of employees saying they want better recognition from leaders who are authentic, not perfect. Here we look at the human experience side of the story.
